Happy New Year! Here's a gift! I should have done this when I originally launched my first book in 2020, but my anthology of short stories dedicated into the public domain is now live in Kindle Unlimited, which is where it will stay. Also, for the first five days of the new year, the eBook is free to download and keep!
I worked really hard on this book. In 2012, I aimed to crowdfund it for $1000 ($10 per story) and ended up raising $2700. It was a labor of love that took me on and off almost a decade, but I'm proud of the final product. All the stories are extremely brief, only 600 words on average, but since there are so many different genres—romance, humor, sci-fi, western, mythology, zombie—there is sure to be one in there you'll like. And best of all, if you don't like them, you can rewrite them at will or use them as a the basis to create new works of your own. Then sell them. All without asking for my permission.
We're not used to having modern authors embrace the world without strict copyright enforcement but I'd like to show another way forward. If this inspires you to donate any work into the public domain, that will be payment enough.
